AM technology allows the creation of three-dimensional geometries, customized and adabtable to the patient's anatomy.

In fact, it offers such freedom that it is possible to develop and produce a customized trabecular structure, by varying the parameters of:

  • Pore geometry;
  • Dimension;
  • Thickness;
  • Roughness.

Custom implants and tools

The custom-made device is produced with AM technology, using titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V – ELI) with a chemical composition in compliance with ASTM F3001 and is fully compatible with Gruppo Bioimpianti’s standard orthopaedic devices.

Indications

Custom-made implants are indicated for patients with problems such as:

  • Significant bone loss;
  • Infections;
  • Previous prosthetic implant failures;
  • Oncological patients;
  • Trauma;
  • Major deformations;
  • Particular anatomies.
